Indianapolis Colts tickets
Football is by far the most popular sport in the U.S. but it is also very popular all over the world. With a obsessed fan base & some of the affluent athletes in the universe, Football's history can be traced back to the early twentieth century when a number of small leagues started cropping up in different regions throughout the country.
Today the National Football League, or NFL, has become one of the most well-known sports organizations on the planet and, depending on where you live in the states, if you are a fan of football you generally have defined and unmistakable alliances to the team that either plays in your city or a neighboring one.
For example, if you live in Indianapolis you are probably a Colts fan. Colts fans are, to put it delicately, extraordinarily appreciative of their team and have zero problem making their opinion known about how great it is and how awesome the Indianapolis Colts players are. They will say that if you are an Indianapolis Colts fan you bleed Colts colors and, frankly, I for one would not want to test this theory on any lifelong Colts fan at game time.
There are thirty two teams across the country that play in the NFL and your alliances definitely will be formed based on either where you were born or where you grew up. This actually makes for interesting and exhilarating games because, since Americans tend to move quite frequently, you may sometimes find fans of one city's team living in a completely different area but still cheering for "their" team when they are in town to play the local team.
Some states, and even some cities, have more than one NFL team to represent them. usually you will find one of these teams representing the NFC, or National Football Conference, while the other represents the Atlantic Football Conference, or AFC.
The Indianapolis Colts logo is a horseshoe and it has stamped on a number of opponents. In 54 years of National Football League competition, the Colts have achieved a 419-397-7 record, including four World Championships and 16 Conference or Divisional titles.
Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders go above and beyond to create an even stronger connection with the community. They travel around the state of Indiana in hopes of expanding the Colts fan base. The Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders participate in more than 300 appearances including conventions, fairs, tradeshows, corporate meetings, grand openings, festivals, sporting events, and much more.
After more than two decades of playing at the RCA Dome, the Indianapolis Colts will play in one of the NFL's best stadiums in 2008 when Lucas Oil Stadium opens. In March 2006, Lucas Oil Products won the naming rights to the stadium. The deal is valued at $122 million over 20 years.
The Colts will move from the RCA Dome to Lucas Oil Stadium after the 2007 season. Located in downtown Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Colts stadium will feature a retractable roof that will allow the Colts to play outside for the first time since the team moved to Indianapolis from Baltimore. From the outside, the stadium will have a facade of brick and glass allowing it to fit in with the surrounding area. Updated information about the Indianapolis Colts stadium can be found on the Indianapolis Colts.com webpage.
