The Magic of the Vancouver Canucks

I was at a Vancouver Canucks game at the age of 7 at the old Maple Leaf Gardens. Sitting beside Leaf fans the entire game made it a difficult experience. The Canucks were losing 4-1 at the time. With about thirteen minutes remaining Mike Ridley scored on a bad bounce on Felix Potvin. I stood up and I seen a camera looking at me! I told my mom to tape it for me back home! She did incase I was on television. I know the game was going to be televised on CBC Hockey Night in Canada! I didnt care about the outcome of the game after that, I just wanted to go home and hear the voice of Bob Cole, and than to see myself on the television screen. I arrived at home, and well I was on television, and to this day it becomes more and more difficult to actualy watch due to me rewinding the tape constantly!

I have only been to four Canucks game and each time something special happend. The second time I went I was quite close to all the Canucks after the game onto the bus! The third time I got John Lu's autograph! However the fourth time was definately the greatest moment!

Me, and my brother decided to go to the Air Canada Centre a lot earlier than the game actually started to possibly meet the players. Coming from Ontario it is hard to find actual Canucks fans so I know I'd hear the hassling due to the Jeresy, the flag, and facepaint! As entering the A.C.C I noticed a man walking with a suit, and a man standing next to him. It was Matt Cooke! My brother didnt believe me (he was a Leafs fan). I rushed to him and said "Mr. Cooke can I have your autograph." He kind of pushed me to the side knowing that other fans my start "harassing" him. So I got his autograph! I didnt really care about the game now. I was so thrilled it was unbelievable. Thirty minutes passed and I was still looking around for more players. I was leaning on a poll towards a Tim Hortons at the ACC. I noticed Dan Cloutier standing in line! I rushed up to him and asked him for his autograph! I asked him if he was playing, and he said not than Hedberg was and that he was going to play in Montreal the next day!. I took a picture with him and walked away. However although it was awesome to meet Cooke, and Cloutier I wanted to meet Todd Bertuzzi! He is my favourite player, and idol. So i approached Cloutier and asked him if he could possibly go and get an autograph for me! Well my luck ran out there! He said he couldnt! Its too bad that the Canucks arent playing in Toronto this year, because I have a strange feeling that the next time the come visit Ontario something special will happen!
