Cleveland Browns tickets

Football is not just the most popular sport in the United States but also very popular across the world. With a fervent fan base & many of the wealthiest athletes in the universe, Football's lineage can be delineated back to the early part of the 20th century when various small leagues cropped up in different regions across the country.

These days the NFL, or National Football League, is the best-known sports leagues in the world and, depending on where you live in the U.S., if you're a fan of football you probably have definite and distinct allegiance to the particular team that either plays in your city or an adjacent one.

For example, if you live in Cleveland you are undoubtedly a Browns fan. Browns fans are, to put it gently, incredibly bombastic of their team and have zero hesitation voicing their particular opinion about how great it is and how awesome the Cleveland Browns roster is. They will say that if you are an Cleveland Browns fan you bleed Browns colors and, frankly, I for one would not want to test this theory on any dyed in the wool Browns fan at game time.

There are 32 teams around the United States that are a part of the NFL and your allegiances definitely are formed predicated on either where you grew up or where you were born. This actually makes for very interesting and gut wrenching games because, since Americans tend to move quite frequently, you may sometimes find many fans of one city's team living in a completely different area but still rooting for "their" team when they come to town to play the home team.

Some states, and even some cities, have more than one NFL team that represents them. Normally you can find one of these teams representing the NFC, or National Football Conference, while the other represents the Atlantic Football Conference, or AFC .

Cleveland Browns Nickname:

When owner Arthur McBride brought an AAFC team to Cleveland in 1945, he held a newspaper contest to name the team and offered a $1,000 war bond to the winner. Most of the entries submitted wanted the name Browns, because the extremely popular Paul Brown was the team's head coach. Browns was selected.

Cleveland Browns logo:
The Browns do not have a decal or offical emblem to represent their team. Instead their orange helmet with a Brown and White stripe in the middle is used to represent the team.
