Burning Man bills itself as annual experiment in temporary community dedicated to radical self-expression and radical self-reliance. BurningMan is always held the week prior to and including Labor Day weekend with the Man burning on Saturday night before Labor Day. Burning Man tickets are good for the entire week and there are no single day Burning Man tickets available. Tickets to Burning Man do not allow attendees to go in and out of the event, however in and out Burning Man passes are available at the gates for a small fee. Burning Man tickets are sold above 'face value'.

Burning Man is a non-commerce event - the only items available for sale are ice and coffee. Attendees MUST bring everything they need to survive the week. If the gate personnel don't believe you have enough basics for survival you will not be granted entry and your BurningMan ticket will not be refunded. Many Burning Man attendees bring extra supplies for purposes of barter with other attendees.
